Birmingham Store Launch
Problem: Ed's was opening their new store in Selfridges at Birmingham's Bull Ring and wanted to raise awareness and spark social conversation around the launch
Insight: The internet was going wild over the most calorific, gluttonous feasts around, even better if they were burgers.
Solution: We looked back into 50's Americana to find the ultimate heart-attack on a plate: The Luther Burger: a patty, bacon, and cheese, all sandwiched between two Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yup, you read that right. And yes, it was deliscious!
Problem: In brand tracking research responses to 'Ed's is a fun restaurant' were declining amongst an older audience. In addition, this group were less likely thank others to share their Ed's experience on social channels.
Insight: We knew that Valentine's Day attracts a large number of people within this audience so we wanted to create a fun mechanic that would drive social sharing.
Solution: 50's Valentine's themed photo props were placed on tables in all Ed's restaurants for Valentine's weekend, inviting diners to take some snaps and share their fun Ed's experience with their friends online.
